Class
From Teflpedia
The word class when referring to English teaching may have various meanings.
- It may refer to a particular group of students who are taking part in a particular session of instruction.
- It could refer to the material being studied, for example "a grammar class".
- It can refer to the actual physical location - the classroom - where instruction is being carried out. Those teachers lucky enough to have at their disposal a dedicated classroom - as opposed to a meeting room or a student's office - can make imaginative, that is, unlimited use of realia to offer students access to other forms of English other than that strictly offered by coursebooks, along with other cultural aspects.
