Grammatical mood
From Teflpedia
A mood (/mu:d/) in grammar, sometimes a mode (/məʊd/ - though that has another meaning)
In English there are three major moods, one of which is split into submoods:
- indicative mood
- declarative mood (used for statements)
- emphatic mood (used for counter-assertions)
- interrogative mood (often these are just called questions)
- subjunctive mood
- imperative mood (used for orders)
